🎣 Johnny Creek Baits Weekly Fishing Report: November 1, 2025-November 7, 2025

The Johnny Creek Team has been full go on glide production as we lock in the final details for the ISE release of the XG8 this January. Testing and tuning have been nonstop, and results across the Motherlode have been solid with multiple fish committing to the glide.

🐟 California Delta

The Delta is finally starting to show more consistent striper numbers. What were just scattered small schools a couple of weeks ago are now starting to group up and feed more regularly. The bite is picking up with each passing front — ideal timing if you’re looking to test out larger profiles before the cold sets in.

🪙 Don Pedro Lake

Don Pedro has been on fire. If you can locate the deep schools, spoons and jigs have been the ticket. Most of the activity is deeper, but the quality of fish has made the search worth it.

🎯 Lake McClure

At McClure, the bite has leaned toward jerkbaits and deep-water finesse presentations. It’s that transitional period where suspended fish are feeding sporadically, but when you connect, they’re solid.

🌊 New Melones

Melones continues to tick upward. The water’s close to turning over, and once it does, expect the bite to open up big time. We spent time around Camp Nine, and the kokanee are thick — bonus: we got several bites on the XG8 Glide in a range of colors during testing.

🪵 Lake Tulloch

There’s been good chatter from bank anglers on Tulloch pulling solid bass from the edges. It’s a great time for those willing to brave the colder weather — fewer boats, less pressure, and a shot at quality fish.

Despite the weather moving in, the committed anglers are being rewarded. Keep an eye on water temps, target those bait concentrations, and don’t be afraid to slow down and grind.
